Finally, SSD External Storage Device Secured by Fingerprint Sensor – T7 Touch Launched by Samsung

Samsung launched the SSD External Storage Device T7 Touch which is secured by a Finger Print Sensor. It is a step towards the future in terms of security. Thank God now no one will come in the night and copy down your data unlike most of the Hollywood movies. Now, one can transfer the data from the SSD device only by approved fingerprint.

T7 Touch is an external portable Solid State Drive (SSD) which is secured by the fingerprint sensor. It is designed on USB 3.2 Gen 2 Standard. It is a combination of sleek design with high-speed data transfer.

“Consumers who are constantly on the go between work, play and passion projects want to be able to securely carry their content with them,” said Akash Saxenaa, Senior Director, Enterprise Sales, Samsung India.
 “Now their data is secure thanks to the fingerprint recognition functionality incorporated into the product, which delivers industry-leading transfer speeds in a compact form factor.”

T7 Touch SSD is designed by considering both professional and personal use. You can easily secure large files whether it’s software or game or 4k video. This drive is compatible with PC, tablet, game console and Smartphone.

T7 Touch gives a speed of 1050MB/s which is quite significant which is 10times faster than regular HDDs.
Its weight is 58gm with dimensions 3.3×2.2x.3inch. It is available in black and silver in colour.

It comes with USB Type C. Samsung T7 Touch SSD is available in three variants 500GB, 1TB and 2TB which makes it suitable for personal use and professional also.

These same devices will also be available without a fingerprint sensor and they will be called Portable SSD T7, expected to be launched in mid-2020.
T7 Touch will be available in more than 30 countries worldwide, these products will be available via both online store and retail shops.
